Brett Williams is a painter and actor based in Cape Town, South Africa. He transforms cityscapes and personal experiences into compelling artwork, echoing themes of mental health, vulnerability, and hope. In particular, his latest work is defined by an innovative blend of painterly materials to allow for the pronounced idiosyncratic textures to come to the fore. His work was recently included in the Rust-en-Vrede Gallery’s ‘PORTRAIT 100’ exhibition at the Spier Arts Trust Union House.
